Welcome to
St. Anne's, Aigburth

Growing together as a community in Jesus
Our theme for 2026:
"Behold, I will do a new thing….."
Isaiah 43:19
Welcome to new Vicar
Rev. Philippa Lea
On 9 July our new Vicar the Rev. Philippa Lea was licensed by the Rt. Revd.Simon Robinson, Bishop of Warrington with the induction and and installation undertaken by the Ven. Dr. Miranda Threlfall-Holmes, Archdeacon of Liverpool.
It was a beautiful service with warm words of welcome given by the Deputy Lord Lieutentant of Liverpool and other community representatives.
Philippa expressed her excitement about her new appointment and looks forward to meeting you all when she returns from her summer holiday in August.
During Philippa’s holidays the Churchwardens will continue to oversee the running of the church and if you have any questions or need an advice, then please do speak to Jan or Nikki or one of the Deputy Wardens.
The PCC send its warmest good wishes for Philippa’s new mission here in Aigburth and thanks all those who have helped and supported throughout this period of interregnum.

Families and Children at St. Anne's

Our 11:00 am All Age Worship is informal and contemporary in style.

Children and young people join the All Age service for the start before breaking out into age-appropriate groups:

-
Crèche (Ages 0–3): A welcoming space for our youngest children, with age-appropriate play, simple songs, and Bible stories.
-
Sparks / Flames (Ages 3–11): Interactive and engaging sessions designed to help children grow in faith, friendships, and their understanding of God's love.
-
Inferno (Ages 11–18): A youth group where young people can explore faith, ask questions, build friendships, and discover how following Jesus connects with everyday life.

We’d love you and your little one(s) to join us at St. Anne's Stars, every Thursday during term time in the Church family rooms, from 09.30 am – 11:00 am.

Each session is designed to give caregivers and children opportunities to relax, have fun, build new friendships and learn about the Christian faith in a creative way.

Toys are set out for free play. We also have some areas set up for more structured play and craft activities. Caregivers are encouraged to join in during story and singing time.

Once a term, we enjoy a short creative service in church with the children & their carers. It’s fun and friendly and ideally suited to the little ones - we stay for refreshments afterwards.

We look forward to seeing you. For more information, please contact Lis Hughes (lis.hughes@stannesaigburth.com)
